Market Tour & Cooking Class Experience
about this
Experience
This experience starts off with guests being guided through a local neighborhood market where they learn about the history of this neighborhood market, local market culture and all about Egyptian produce along with how to pick the freshest fruits and vegetables. After buying a few missing ingredients the guests will then be led back to the Bellies En-Route headquarters and kitchen space - located in a newly renovated building that is over 120 years old.
Once in the kitchen the guests will then be guided through the process of prepping and cooking an Egyptian three course meal consisting of a salad/appetizer, main dish and dessert. They will learn about each dish and it’s significance in Egyptian cuisine and culture while also learning about local life.
The guests will then be seated at our dining table to enjoy the fruits of their labor while enjoying a conversation with our chef and engaging with our staff.
