EGYPTIAN COOKING & MARKET EXPERIENCE
Join us in the kitchen as we gather to cook this locally-rooted and delicious dish. While it is true that Moussaka did not originate in Egypt, we are fortunate that it made its way across the Mediterranean and into even our most rural homes centuries ago, where each home-cook puts a twist on it. Together, we’ll experience a central local market visit to scout some fresh produce, and head to the kitchen to cook up our feast. So whether you’ve tried Moussaka before or not, get ready for some melt-in-your-mouth, tomato-ey goodness.

Shortly after, we’ll walk to a nearby market where we’ll tour a local vegetable shop and learn about Egyptian produce, and learn about the ingredients we’re going to use.
Next, we’ll stop to buy some Egyptian Baladi Bread and fruit, and head back to the kitchen to prepare our Egyptian feast.
