PART-TIME VIDEOGRAPHER POSITION

We’re looking for a young and energetic video geek to help us capture raw footage of food, people and places, all around Cairo. If your phone is always glued to your hand and you love capturing footage of everything that’s around you, you might be the perfect person for this job.

  3. This role requires locals who were born and (mostly) raised in Cairo. You must be currently residing in Cairo, we do not offer relocation packages.

  4. This role might require minimal travel outside of the city. All travel costs will be covered.

WHAT’S THE JOB LIKE?

From filming during some of our tours to being behind-the-scenes in a historical Tarboosh workshop in Old Cairo, no two days are the same when it comes to this job. Your assignments will vary depending on our content calendar and objectives for the season. While this job doesn’t require any editing, it’s preferred that the individual has at least some editing experience to produce higher quality footage.

 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Has a passion for videography and photography, and knows the basics of both

  • Is available three days/week (these can be discussed during the interview process)

  • Is great with people from all walks of life, and knows how to set the tone for a comfortable atmosphere while they shoot/film footage or photos.

  • Is still at the early stages of exploring this field, and is looking to learn quickly on the job

  • Is adventurous and loves spontaneity, this job will require you to visit all types of places

  • Is street-smart and has a bold presence

  • Speaks fluent English and Arabic
