PART-TIME FOOD TOUR GUIDE POSITION

APPLY BEFORE FEBRUARY 10TH - 11:59 PM

We’re looking for individuals to join our core team of food tour guides on a fixed days schedule. If you have an upbeat personality, appreciate food and know Cairo better than the palm of your hand, read on!

WHAT’S THE JOB LIKE?

You will be taking guests from around the world on our food tours, telling them about the city, history, and food, and answering their questions about local life. A typical tour requires each guide to meet the guests, keep them safe, manage payments with our vendors, track expenses, take photos, and bring their big personalities amongst other responsibilities.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Speaks fluent English and Arabic (if you also speak French, Spanish, Italian or German, that’s a plus).

  • Is passionate about food and culture, and of course, Cairo!

  • Can handle flexible (unconventional) hours on their weekly fixed tour days (Saturdays, Sundays and Tuesdays)

  • Is exceptionally punctual, especially in Cairo’s traffic.

  • Has an upbeat personality and loves to be around people.

  • Is quick on their feet, and can solve unexpected challenges with a snap of a finger.

  • Is honest, respectful, presentable and reliable.

  2. That’s it! Regardless of the results, you’ll hear from us in 7-10 working days.

  3. Individuals who pass the first round will be invited to an interview.
