about the Experience
In this experience, your guests will join a local home cook to recreate a beloved street food enjoyed from the Mediterranean to the Nile.
In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to craft the perfect brine for pickling seasonal vegetables and, prepare two delicious street food staples: Hawawshi and Oriental Sausages. You'll finish on a sweet note with a simple dessert sure to satisfy even the most devoted sweet tooth.
 For private tours, the market walk is a free optional add-on, depending on the guests’ preference.

- Cairene Hawawshi with Baladi bread. 
- Oriental Sausages 
- Sakalans; a sweet sandwich filled with cream, honey and Egyptian halawa. 
- A variety of pickled vegetables prepared in our own kitchen. 
How to prepare 
your guests
To ensure your guests have the best experience, you can share the following tips with them:
- We recommend that guests wear comfortable (closed-toe) shoes to enjoy the market walk with maximum comfort. 
- On the day of the class, we highly suggest guests skip breakfast so they can enjoy the wide variety of food on the tour to the fullest. We guarantee that the guests will be full and satisfied at the end of the tour.

Our classes do not include any pork products. Foods that are not considered halal are not common in Egypt since the majority of the population is Muslim, and animals are butchered according to Muslim practices.
